Officials: 2 injured after apartment building fire in Soundview

One civilian and one firefighter are recovering from their injuries after a fire in Soundview early Sunday morning.
The FDNY tells News 12 The Bronx that reports of a fire in an apartment building on Bruckner Boulevard were called in around 3:45 a.m.
The blaze burst windows on the second and third floors of the building.
The FDNY says 65 firefighters were on the scene working to bring the fire under control. Police were still at the location Sunday morning in addition to the public adjuster and an insurance agent.
The Red Cross tells News 12 that three families are now displaced. The agency is helping two of the three families affected with housing and financial assistance.
Those injured are facing injuries that are not life threatening.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
