Construction crews have demolished a Newark home that was damaged by an explosion last weekend.

Authorities say that the house on South Devine Street was abandoned at the time of the explosion.

A baseball team playing across the street detained a man they saw running away from the house after the blast. However no charges have been filed in connection with the explosion as of Friday evening.

Newark police have not yet released a cause for the explosion.
