Bridgeport officials and residents watched crews continue demolition at one of the city's most infamous housing projects.
Phase two is underway at the former Marina Village complex.
The 70-year-old complex is being leveled and replaced by 60 new apartments.
Mayor Joe Ganim said they’ve been pushing this project for a long time.  “New state-of-the-art housing, clean, safe, the type of thing that we would all envy,” said Ganim.
Southwest Community Health Center will also have a clinic at the complex.
