Reward offered for information about explosive device left in Jewish cemetery
Essex County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information on who left a homemade explosive device at a Jewish cemetery.
Crime Stoppers says that the reward is $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
The device was discovered over the weekend at the B'Nai Abraham Cemetery on South 19th Street. A security officer evacuated the cemetery after he found a commercial firework attached to a can of lubricant on a headstone.
The bomb squad determined it wasn't live. They turned it over to the FBI.
Anyone with information should call Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers.
