Connecticut group ready to help pets affected by Florence

The Connecticut Emergency Animal Response Service has a fully stocked ambulance and is ready to respond to Hurricane Florence-affected areas with medical kits, flood supplies and other general necessities.
Connecticut Emergency Animal Response Service operations director Jon Nowinski said, "Knowing that down in South Carolina, for example, they're dealing with a lot of the flooding. And so that's going to be a big issue. So knowing that most people that were evacuated from their houses, they might not be able to evacuate with cages and crates and things like that because their houses have been flooded."
The ambulance is also on standby waiting to potentially help another community recovering from disaster - three towns in Massachusetts forced to evacuate homes after several explosions took place late last week.
