The Reach Out Project held the fourth annual Wellness Walk and Recovery Run Sunday at Walnut Beach in Stratford.

Organizers say their mission is to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding drug addiction.

Mario Castiello, of the Reach Out Project, said "For me and my family it's my cousin that passed and it's gradually gotten easier through meeting other families and individuals that have gone through it."

The event also featured food, music, speeches, and a raffle.
