Police asking for the public’s helping in finding the man they say is responsible for a shooting in Morrisania.

Police say it happened on Aug. 17 around 8 p.m. when the suspect hit a 40-year-old man with his gun in front of 981 Union Ave.

When the victim tried to get away, he was shot three times.  EMS transported the shooting victim to Lincoln Hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police have released video of the incident.

The suspect is described as being about 6’1”. Police say the victim claims he does not know the suspect.
