Gov. Murphy declares state of emergency in multiple counties due to flooding

<p>Gov. Phil Murphy has signed Executive Order 33, declaring a state of emergency in Bergen, Essex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Passaic counties due to flooding brought on by torrential weekend rain.</p>

Gov. Phil Murphy has signed Executive Order 33, declaring a state of emergency in Bergen, Essex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Passaic counties due to flooding brought on by torrential weekend rain.
The order allows for the extension of state resources into communities most directly impacted by the flooding.
Several communities received between 5 and 8 inches of rain this weekend.
