A 3-alarm fire in Brownsville Friday night has temporarily closed three businesses.
The fire started on the first floor of a sneaker shop and made its way toward the corner of Rutland Avenue and 98th Street.
Emergency crews received the call around 7:45 p.m. Over 100 firefighters responded to the incident.
The fire spread to a beauty salon next door and a personal training studio upstairs.
The FDNY says it was an accidental fire caused by a light fixture where no smoke alarm was present.
No one was hurt, according to officials.
