Town Supervisor Laura Gillen joined road crews Thursday in Baldwin as they filled in its 50,000th pothole of the year.
Supervisor Gillen urged residents to call the town if they see a pothole problem.
"We've only had about 3,000 complaints about potholes, so we're filling more than we actually hear about.
Residents can report potholes on the Town of Hempstead website.
