Oceanside woman says pit bull ‘brutally mauled’ her dog

An Oceanside woman says a neighbor’s pit bull attacked and killed their dog Friday night while on a walk.
Kathleen Mann says the pit bull charged at her and her yorkie named Chloe. She said the pit bull bit her finger and “brutally mauled Chloe.”
She says the attack occurred on Freeman Avenue just after 10 p.m.
Chloe's owners and other concerned neighbors went to the home of the pit bull owners Saturday night. They say this particular dog has bitten other pets in the neighborhood in the past.
A family member of the pit bull's owners says he feels bad for what the victims are going through and may muzzle the dog from now on.
