Police: Man forces way into Sunset Park apartment, rapes woman

Police are searching for a sexual predator who forced his way into a Sunset Park apartment and raped a woman.
Police have been combing through surveillance video in the area to locate images of the suspect.
News 12 Brooklyn is told that the man knocked on an apartment door in a complex at 52nd Street and Seventh Avenue at 1 a.m. Friday. When a woman answered, the man allegedly forced his way into her room, where he pulled out a gun, demanded cash and raped her.
Officials say the man tied up her arms with a sweater and escaped with $500. The woman was able to free herself and called 911.
Authorities describe the suspect as an Asian man in his 30s and about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with tattoos on his left arm.
They say he was last seen carrying a messenger bag.
