The search is still on for the three men who police believe are responsible for fatally shooting a man outside of a Brooklyn bar nearly two weeks ago.
Robert “Sha” Fason, 44, was shot and killed after an alleged dispute outside of a Brooklyn bar on June 30.
Officers say that they didn't discover Fason's body until hours after the shooting, despite alleged 911 calls from nearby residents, the victim himself and alerts from the city's Shot Spotter gunfire detection system.
Officers Lisa Lovell and Roberto Anton were later suspended for allegedly not getting out of their police cruiser while Fason lay bleeding on the ground.
Fason’s employer of more than 20 years describes him as possibly the hardest worker he’s ever had, “just a big teddy bear.”
His family says he will be greatly missed. “He was a loving and kind person,” said Fason’s brother. “His liveliness, his kindness, this is my little brother but he looked after me.”
Fason's family will be filing a lawsuit against both the city and the officers.
