Lakota Oaks hosted its annual Ribbon Cutting and Tree Planting ceremony Thursday in Norwalk.
Organizers say more than 50 people, including Mayor Harry Rilling, celebrated the new ownership and management of the event center.
Former Mayor Frank Zullo, who died earlier this year, was honored during the ceremony.
Event officials say it's important to never lose sight of the strong roots and relationships within the Norwalk community.
