Atlantic County is the latest county in New Jersey to report positive samples of the potentially deadly West Nile virus.
Two locations in the county produced positive results.
Bergen, Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties turned up positive samples earlier this year.
There are no reports of any humans infected in 2018.
The virus is carried by infected mosquitoes and can be transmitted to animals, birds and humans.
Symptoms include fever, headache, skin rash, and swollen lymph nodes.
Severe symptoms and signs may include stiff neck, coma, convulsions, and paralysis.
Most cases of West Nile virus infection are mild and go unreported.
