Funeral services for Lesandro Guzman-Feliz took place Wednesday morning at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Belmont.
Hundreds mourned the teen's tragic death, including family, friends and fellow NYPD explorers, while some also pushed for justice in the wake of his murder.
Fifteen-year-old Guzman-Feliz was stabbed with machetes and knives one week ago in what police are investigating as a case of mistaken identity, according to sources.
Eight suspects have been arrested, the latest being Elvin Garcia, 23, who was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
A 19-year-old Bronx man was also arraigned in Bronx criminal court for the murder of Guzman-Feliz Monday night.
Six other suspects were apprehended in New Jersey and are scheduled to be arraigned in the Bronx Wednesday. They are facing murder, manslaughter, gang assault and other assault charges.
Police officials say some of the men responsible for Guzman-Feliz's death -- if not all -- are connected to the Trinitarios street gang.
