There is a new effort to help get an area in Morris Heights on the map.

BJT Bronx, which covers the Burnside, Jerome and Tremont neighborhoods, is making a push to have its presence known in the area.

BJT Bronx will now have a merchant directory and website thanks to a grant from the city's Small Business Services.

The area will also be putting up bright banners as soon as next week.

"What's happening here is the merchants are excited about bringing changes here because this community needs those changes,” said Ubaldo Santos, the BJT Merchant Association president.
