A Wilton mother is due in court next week on charges of being drunk while trying to pick up her daughter from school.

Officials say they arrested 41-year-old Jolene Matthews on June 13.

They say staff at the Goddard School called police after not allowing Matthews' daughter to get in the car, fearing her mother was drunk. 

According to authorities, Matthews drove away from the school and refused to pull over for police.

They say they eventually used multiple cars to box her in, and broke the windows of the car when she refused to exit the vehicle.
