Police: Man struck, killed crossing Jericho Turnpike
Police say a man died crossing Jericho Turnpike with his family nearby.
According to police, the 33-year-old man crossed the road to get food around 9 p.m. where the Long Island Expressway service road meets Jericho Turnpike near the Home Depot.
On his way back to his car, his family members tell News 12, he was hit and killed by a vehicle.
The family was seen hugging and crying at the scene.
Police say there are no criminal charges at this time.
The victim's name is being withheld at this time.
