Bridgeport councilwoman Rosalina Roman Christy hosted a forum to hear from North End residents who say they’re seeing a rise of crime in their neighborhood.
The chief of police spoke at the forum, held at Park City Magnet School.
The councilwoman says she organized the meeting after six shootings were reported in just a six-week period.
Christy said, “The chief of police gave some very good information. He did promise our community, our district that there are going to be more police patrols hopefully in each one of the areas especially Trumbull Gardens, and also as well Dogwood Drive where people have been most complaining about.”
Roman-Christy says this is the first forum she hosted since taking office, and hopes to hold more meetings in the future.
