A motorbike rider lost control and got trapped under a pickup truck in Bridgeport Thursday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 3 p.m. on Huntington Turnpike in the city's North End. Eyewitnesses say the rider may have been coming down the hill too fast and didn't see the red pickup.

Police say the victim was trapped under the truck for a half-hour. Firefighters had to lift the truck to remove the person.

The victim was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center.

The pickup driver was unharmed.
