Sunday marked the grand finale of this year's Bronx Week.
The last two weeks in the Bronx have been a nonstop celebration appreciating what the boogie down is all about.
The final day of celebration helped to wrap up the 10-day event with a Volunteer Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Bronx County building.
This year several people from Big Apple Greeters were recognized. They provide tours of the key neighborhoods. That includes Christina Buckley, who is legally blind – but that hasn't stopped her from showing her borough off.
"I do Big Apple Greetings for fun and bringing people to my old neighborhood and showing them parts of the Bronx that even I don't know too much," Buckley said.
The borough also honored volunteers who work at the Bronx Zoo and Wave Hill.
Outside of the County Building, several celebrities were inducted into the Walk of Fame. The borough president says they're citizens who contribute to the rich culture and diversity which defines the Bronx.
This year's honorees included advocate and founder of the #MeToo movement Tarana Burke, hip-hop icon Slick Rick and "Billions" actor Maggie Siff.
"I think growing up in the city and I think growing up in the Bronx, we're really exposed to so many different kinds of people from so many walks of life. I would just never change that," says Siff.
Past inductees have included Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex, Fat Joe, Irene Cara, Batchata group Aventura and model Tyson Beckford.
A parade down Mosholu Parkway followed the induction ceremony.
Bronx Week officially concluded Sunday evening with a concert featuring Remy Ma. Other notable Bronx artists also performed during the festivities.
