The field of potential Democratic candidates for governor of Connecticut is getting smaller.
The former state Veterans Affairs commissioner, Sean Connolly, is ending his bid for endorsement. Connolly says he is throwing his support behind Greenwich businessman Ned Lamont.
Meanwhile, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim has 10,000 signatures on his petition to get on the Democratic primary ballot. He needs about 5,000 more before June 12 to qualify for the primary in August.
Democratic Party delegates will hold their convention this weekend.
