Dozens still without power across the Hudson Valley

Posted: Updated:
SOMERS -

Many homes and businesses across the Hudson Valley remain without power.

In Westchester, Somers was particularly hard hit. During the storm, NYSEG reports that close to 10,000 homes were without power.

Two days later, over 4,000 homes still were without electricity. "We lost power around 8 p.m., we have no electricity and telephone since then. Running on generators and as you can see a tree hit my house, so as you can see we have issues. So, we hope we can get power and telephone back because we are isolated up here," says one homeowner.

NYSEG says it hopes to have 90 percent homes in Somers restored with power by 7 p.m. on Friday.
