Hulu wants you to have a vertical viewing experience. According to Cheddar, the streaming service is updating its mobile app to improve the on-the-go live-television experience. One new feature allows users to browse for more content while they watch. Hulu says its viewers are watching 84 percent more hours of mobile programming compared to last year.

Tidal is drowning in royalty payments. Jay-Z's music streaming service is reportedly behind on royalty payments to three international record companies. Tidal is already under scrutiny for allegedly faking hundreds of millions of plays for certain songs on the platform.

Your Amazon virtual assistant may be getting a new voice. Alexa skill developers will soon have access to eight different identities, male and female, to help them improve their apps. The news comes just a week after Google's assistant got six new voices - one of them, singer John Legend.
