One year after a Stamford man was murdered in Bridgeport, family and friends want an arrest to be made in the case.
Family and friends of Max Antoine, 33, gathered at McLevy Green Saturday to demand justice.
Police say Antoine was an innocent bystander who was gunned down as he left a restaurant on Broad Street.
The family says Antoine was well known for being a hard worker and volunteering his time.
His family say the past 12 months have been "a nightmare," and that it's time for the killer to be held accountable. They say they were told six months ago that there was a warrant out for the suspect’s arrest
Police tell News 12 that they have identified a suspect but are still waiting for the state’s attorney to sign an arrest warrant.
“I feel like our family has been lied to,” said one family member.
The family is asking any witnesses who have not come forward to consider cooperating with police.
They will be holding a rally tomorrow. After the rally, the family will march to the Bridgeport Police Department to demand interest in the case.
