Bridgeport resident lands guest role on TV show 'Empire'

A 19-year-old from Bridgeport has landed a guest role on the Fox television series "Empire."
Series executive producer Lee Daniels was so impressed by a question that Theo Wilson asked at a September fan forum that Daniels flew Wilson and his foster father to Chicago in March to film a scene for the show.
The Harding High School senior says Daniels admired the way he spoke about his experience growing up in foster care. His question had to do with getting into show business. Wilson says he'll never forget being called upon to share his story.
"It was shocking," Wilson says. "I had to, like, think, wait, that's my name, so it was a very exciting moment."
Wilson says he's not allowed to talk about his role until the episode airs May 16 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
