Mother seeks justice after daughter's body found in Canarsie

The mother of the woman whose dismembered remains were found in Canarsie Park is seeking justice Wednesday as she tries to come to grips with what happened.
Brandy Odom, 26, was found dead Monday inside of Canarsie Park near East 86th Street and Seaview Avenue. Odom's body parts were found in a wooded area by a woman who was walking her dog. Her body was cut into pieces and missing its arms, legs and head, a source tells News 12.
The victim's mother, Nicole Odom, says she will never stop feeling the pain or remembering her daughter's laugh and bright smile.
"I just ask for justice and closure for me and my daughter so my daughter can rest in peace knowing that the person who did this to her is caught," says Odom.
Forensic teams removed evidence near a garbage can Wednesday. Sources say what was recovered appears to be a saw blade. It's still unclear how Odom died.
The NYPD is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.
