Police: Suspect in custody in Ogden Ave. shooting

Police say a suspect is in custody and is expected to be charged in connection with a shooting that killed a woman in her Ogden Avenue apartment.
Officers arrived at the scene at 1434 Ogden Ave. just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. They say a 35-year-old woman was found unconscious with a bullet wound to the chest in a sixth-floor apartment.
The woman was rushed to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and was pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released.
Police were questioning a 42-year-old man who reports say may be a correction officer. The Department of Correction says it's "confident that the ongoing investigation will reveal exactly what led to this tragic incident."
