Concerned residents packed a community center this past weekend to discuss gun violence in Bridgeport.
The meeting comes after four people suffered non-life threatening injuries during a shooting inside a convenience store in early March.
Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, along with other city leaders, offered their time and their open minds.
"We need to figure out how we stop that everyday gun violence from happening," says Sen. Murphy. "In Bridgeport, it's about gun laws, there's way too many illegal guns here."
Residents say the solution is more than just getting rid of guns.
They say they believe personal accountability is needed.
