Prospect Park hosts annual half marathon

Runners filled Prospect Park Saturday morning to take part in the Tri Spring Half Marathon.
Officials say that around 500 runners participated in the 13.1-mile run throughout the park.
One runner told News 12 that the race is more relaxed than other marathons.
"You don't have to wait hours in line…You can just kind of run and go," said Michael Fiorelli, a Fort Greene resident.
While some runners are local, others came all the way from Rochester to take part in the race.
Every participant received a medal when they crossed the finish line.
Prizes were awarded to the top runners.
