Coast Guard suspends barge proposals

The U.S. Coast Guard is suspending its proposals for new anchorage points along the Hudson River.

Reports say there will not be any new places for oil tankers to drop anchor.

The door is open for a similar proposal in the future.

Environmental groups opposed the new resting points, fearful of the potential for oil spills.
