IHOP served stacks of free pancakes Tuesday in honor of National Pancake Day, the restaurant said.
At select IHOP restaurants, guests received a free short stack of original buttermilk pancakes.
In return, guests were asked to help make a difference by leaving a donation of any size in-restaurant or on-check, with all funds collected being donated to charities dedicated to finding cures and eradicating life-threatening diseases that affect children and families.
"We have a full restaurant considering, yes, but we expect the real big one after 3 p.m.," Millie Ramos, manager of a local IHOP, told News 12.
All funds collected will stay in the communities they are gathered in, according to IHOP. Ramos tells News 12 that donations raised at her location will benefit the Cohen's Miracle Network.
