Cardinal Dolan visits the Bronx on Ash Wednesday

Cardinal Timothy Dolan kicked off Lent by making a stop in the Bronx for Ash Wednesday.

During his visit, the sisters at Our Lady of Guadalupe convent in Norwood made sure their doors were open to hand out food to community members in need.

Cardinal Dolan told News 12 that any child of God was welcome to the donations.

Lent is a 40-day season of fasting and praying that ends on Easter Sunday.
