Stamford couple meets, weds at retirement community

A Stamford couple met and found romance and a second shot at marriage at a local retirement community.
Peter Koroscil, 93, and Doris Harrington, 92, met about six years ago at the Edgehill senior living center, when Harrington had just moved in.
"I asked her to dance, which she refused, but second time around she said, 'OK,'" Koroscil says.
Six months later, they tied the knot at Edgehill in front of supportive family and friends.
"At that point in life, why wait, you know?" Harrington says.
It was the second trip down the aisle for them, each having lost a spouse.
Harrington says the key to keeping their marriage strong is having patience with each other.
Koroscil and Harrington are the first couple to meet and wed at Edgehill. They have a total of more than 20 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
