People across the Hudson Valley were opening their wallets to spend on love this Valentine's Day.
According to the National Retail Federation, romantics all across the country were spending a total of $19.6 billion on their loved ones.
According to the study, the average person planned to spend about $90 on their significant others.
Kids and parents feel the love by getting about $25 worth of gifts. Pet parents were spending around $6 on their furry friends.
The study also showed that average jewelry sales could hit $4.7 billion, $2 billion was expected to go for flowers, $1.8 billion on candy, and $894 million on Valentine’s Day cards.
