Man accused of assaulting 2 Nassau officers

Police say a Brooklyn man has been arrested and is accused of assaulting two Nassau County police officers.
Police say the officers approached Triston Campbell’s car in a Garden City parking lot around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
That is when detectives say the 27-year-old opened the car door and struck one of the officers. He then took off.
Once Campbell was caught, police say he kicked and punched both officers before he was arrested.
The Brooklyn man allegedly had over $8,000 in counterfeit bills.
