Long Island surfers are doing their part to bring Christmas joy to kids in Puerto Rico.
Professional surfer Cliff Skudin and volunteers from Long Beach took off from JFK Wednesday night with 1,000 donated toys. The toys will be given to children whose homes were destroyed during Hurricane Maria.
"Being a survivor of the community of Hurricane Sandy, we can relate and this stuff goes a long way," Skudin says.
The toy delivery was organized by Skudin Surf Shops with some help from JetBlue.
