Peekskill community holds vigil for man at risk of deportation

Some community members in Peekskill are gathering for a vigil Friday to pray for the release of man who is being detained at the Orange County Correctional Facility.
Maniel Armando Arpi, who came to the U.S. from Ecuador in 1995, was detained about a month and a half ago by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
The father of two sons is now at risk of deportation.
"I just want him to be home with us, so we don't have to worry anymore about what's happening," said Jefferson Arpi. "I just don't want my dad to leave."
Arpi's family says he has never committed a crime and is their sole provider.
The family has also started a petition urging ICE officials to allow him to take his case to court.
