Driver injured after car, Metro-North train accident in Redding

Police were on the scene of an accident between a car and Metro-North train in Redding that left the driver of the car injured.
It happened Tuesday around 9 p.m. at a crossing near Topstone Road, less than an hour after it left South Norwalk.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
There were 30 people on the train, but none were injured.
According to Metro-North, service along the Danbury Branch was delayed while police were on scene.
Trains are expected to be running back to normal schedule this morning.
