Investigators in Westchester County say a Bronx teacher had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor.
Tyler Sick, a 29-year-old Tarrytown resident, was arrested Monday and charged with third-degree rape. Sick works as an assistant wrestling coach at Edgemont High School in Greenburgh, the town where he was taken into custody, and as a teacher at the East Bronx Academy for the Future.
Investigators have not said whether the alleged victim was a student of Sick's.
Sick has worked at the Bronx school for about a year. Parents were shocked to hear the allegations.
The Department of Education tells News 12 in a statement: "These allegations are extremely troubling. Mr. Sick was immediately reassigned away from students and was removed from payroll."
