HEMPSTEAD -

News 12 Long Island has learned there has been an arrest in connection to the murder of a teen found dumped in a wooded part of Roosevelt.

Court documents reveal David Sosa-Guevera, 26, of Wyandanch, has been charged in the murder of Angel Soler, 16. Sources tell News 12 Sosa-Guevera is a suspected member of MS-13 who fled to Maryland after the murder in July.

Court documents state that Sosa-Guevera, while acting with others not yet arrested, is accused of intentionally striking Soler across the head and body numerous times with a machete, causing his death.

The body of Soler was found in October buried in an area off the Southern State Parkway.

Authorities searched the 27-acre site after receiving detailed information from a person of interest.
