Lavatera Mediterranean Bistro is streamlining the way Brooklyn residents get their food.  

Similar to other popular restaurant chains like Chipotle and Subway, Lavatera lets its customers create their meals.

You start by choosing a base, either a pita, salad, baked potato, couscous or rice.

Once an option is chosen, it is time to pick which protein you would like.

Lavatera offers lamb, chicken and beef shawarma as well as schnitzel and fish.

They also have non-meat options like falafel. Meals are then topped with a variety of Mediterranean-style vegetables and sauces like hummus and tahini.
