Free rapid HIV testing offered across city Friday

The city's Health Department and more than 55 community partners offered free rapid HIV testing at many areas close to subway stations across the city on Friday.
The free tests were done in recognition of National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day, which falls on Sunday.
According to organizers, HIV still impacts both Latino and African-American communities, adding that 40 percent of Latinos are late testers and 60 percent of Latinos in the United States who have HIV are immigrants.
This was the 15th year that organizers hosted the event.
