Devils’ Cory Schneider, disguised as usher, surprises fan with jersey
One New Jersey Devils fan got quite a surprise during the New Jersey Devils’ preseason home opener Monday at the Prudential Center.
Jhon Carmona‏, of Queens, New York, said an usher tapped him at the game, told him the Devils jersey he was wearing seemed outdated and offered him a brand new one. But that’s not all.
Carmona said he looked closer and realized the usher was Devils goalie Cory Schneider whose jersey he was wearing. Schneider signed the new jersey and posed for a picture in his usher disguise with Carmona.
The Devils defeated the Washington Capitals 4-1 Monday night.
The 2017-2018 season will be Schneider’s fifth with the Devils.
