New Jersey’s two main gubernatorial candidates campaigned around the state Monday, with less than two months to go until the election.

Democratic candidate Phil Murphy made an appearance with former Sen. Bill Bradley at Princeton University’s “Tigerlabs.” They talked about the need to grow New Jersey’s innovations economy.

Murphy then joined Sen. Cory Booker at the James Kerney Campus of Mercer County Community College, where they spoke about workplace development opportunities.

Republican candidate Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno addressed the “Opportunity New Jersey Affordability Summit” in Somerset.

One of Guadagno’s key campaign promises is to lower taxes and to make New Jersey more affordable.

She says that while Murphy’s plan is to just raise more money, her plan to lower property taxes would benefit seniors, middle-class families and other people at risk in the state.

The election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7.
