Walgreens employee thwarts sex assault inside store

A Walgreens employee came to the rescue of a woman police say was attacked and sexually assaulted at the store on White Plains Road.
Police say a man pushed a 50-year-old woman to the floor inside a bathroom and attempted to remove her pants.
The employee heard the victim's screams and was able to pull the man off. The attacker then fled the store.
The incident occurred at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The victim was treated at Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
