An alleged member of MS-13 accused in the murders of four men in a Central Islip park pleaded not guilty inside a Central Islip courtroom Tuesday.
Police say Omar Villalta is one of the gang members who hacked Michael Banegas, Jefferson Villalobos, Jorge Tigre and Justin Llivacura to death with machetes in a wooded area in Central Islip in April.
Suffolk Police Commissioner Tim Sini announced last month that more than 15 alleged members of MS-13 – including six juveniles – have been arrested for five murders this year in Suffolk County.
