New bill would stop wage theft, boost workers’ financial security

Connecticut Rep. Rosa DeLauro has helped introduce a bill to stop wage theft and boost workers' financial security.

The bill would give workers the right to obtain full compensation for the work they perform and also provide them with the tools to recover stolen wages in court.

According to studies, employers steal over $15 million from their employees every year, mainly from those in low-wage industries.
