Police have charged a Bronx man with attacking another man inside a homeless shelter, leaving the victim badly injured.
Prosecutors say Johanny Rodriguez beat Robert Brown with a cane in the Bronx Park Avenue transitional housing shelter on July 23, where they both lived at the time.
The victim is in intensive care at a local hospital.
Rodriguez's charges include assault, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon.
